Purpose

This committee, as a statutory consultee, receives copies of all planning applications relating to Quedgeley and is able to comment on the proposals and the City Planning Committee will consider these before making a decision. It is also informed of any wider development proposals that affect Quedgeley both by the City and the County Council and is invited to submit views on these. Government also invites the committee to comment on strategic plans affecting the city, county and region. In this way the Parish Council is able to influence policy and strategies in respect of development in the area.
