The Council & Committees
There are 6 main Committees as well as other groups and working parties who report to the Full Council. There are regular meetings of the Full Council and the Committees. The Full Council
The Parish Council is a corporate body with a legal existence of its own quite separate from that of its members. Its decisions are the responsibility of the whole body. The Council has been granted powers by Parliament including the important authority to raise money through the precept and a range of powers to spend public money, all for the benefit of the local community.
Planning & Development
Purpose: To consider proposals for local development and strategic proposals for the City, County & region.
Finance & General Purposes
Purpose: To prepare the annual budget, authorise payments, monitor and control expenditure and recommend policy to the Council.
Recreation & Amenities
Purpose: To manage and maintain the Parish Council play areas and to seek to provide more sports and recreation facilities and improve the environment in Quedgeley.
Public Relations
Purpose: To ensure that the Quedgeley residents are kept informed of the work of the Council and to liaise with the media.
