Community Centres Committee

Purpose

Quedgeley Community CentreThe Quedgeley Community Centre provides a focal point for the residents of Quedgeley and a venue for a great variety of activities for all age groups. It is the responsibility of this committee to ensure that the building and its services are well maintained and improved as necessary to meet the needs of its users. The committee also tries to make maximum use of all of the rooms and has a charging structure that benefits local people and makes the hire affordable. There is also a joint user group with representatives of the Quedgeley Social Club, Equals and this committee that liaise on the use of all of the buildings attached to the Centre.

In 2009, a temporary premises was provided for use as the Kingsway Community Centre, whilst awaiting the permanent (purpose-built) premises.
The Community Centres Committee will manage this premises in the same way as we manage the Quedgeley Community Centre.
