I am single, 47 years of age and have been a resident of Quedgeley for the last 18 years. Although I have been registered disabled now for 5 years I was determined that this would not stop me from trying to serve Quedgeley and its residents.

It is 4 years since I joined the Parish Council, my main aim being to serve the local residents to the best of my ability and to make a difference to their quality of life. As part of this I am a member of both the Recreation and Amenities Committee and the Community Centre Community that I do enjoy.

The Council always welcomes new members and encourages members of the public to attend Council meetings where there is a public forum giving the opportunity to express their views and opinions.

I believe in being honest and am very outspoken in relation to matters I feel are important to the community, not for my personal benefit but that of the residents of Quedgeley.

Being a Christian I am a member of Robinswood Church and although I know that I am not perfect I do try my best. There seem to be a number of people who think that the members of the Parish Council should not make mistakes but we are, after all, human and errors occur but most importantly we try to learn from them. As long as we do so, I believe that we can go far.

Over the last 9 years I have worked in Asda in Gloucester, enjoy my work and feel that I make a positive contribution in my workplace. My hobbies are card making, reading and playing computer games. Unfortunately, because of my disability I am unable to do cooking and to go for long walks, both of which I loved.
