I joined the Parish Council in 2007, as I believe that the younger age group within Quedgeley needs to be represented. I decided to do something positive to help and became a Parish Councillor as a representative for one of the new housing developments.

I am employed as a GIS and Data Manager/Consultant and the company I work for currently contracts me to Natural England. I mainly work on projects for the government. Projects worked on in the past include, flood mapping, noise mapping, environmental impact assessments, and new road/rail alignments. As a consultant working on government projects it means that I know some of the detail of how governments work. This can be an advantage to the parish council and vice versa.

In my spare time I enjoy floristry and I am currently undertaking my Level 3 City and Guilds. Having moved into a Places for people home in Copeland Park I have seen first hand how this housing can help young people get a foot onto the property ladder. I also feel that there are enough housing developments in this area of Quedgeley, most of which has still to be inhabited. I would like to try to bring together the new and the old communities in Quedgeley.
