I have been married to Peter, who is also a Parish Councillor, for 26 years and have two children, two step-children and several grandchildren. Quedgeley has been my home for eight years and I worked as a consultant Trichologist for over twenty years being a Governor on the Board of Trichologists and teaching at Gloucester College of Arts and Technology.

My interest in becoming a Parish Councillor has grown over the years and since I retired in 2007 have become more involved with the “goings-on” in Quedgeley. My passion has been fully stoked now due to seeing children seemingly drifting aimlessly around with little to do in Quedgeley. Or at least, so they think. Don’t they realise what opportunities are available to them and their families in this area e.g. sports, clubs, nature trails etc?

One of my greatest concerns is the possibility of a massive incinerator on our doorstep and the dreadful chance of Quedgeley being ‘embraced’ by horrific fumes and pollution. As you will understand I am passionate about the environment in which I live and recognise that it is no use complaining and doing nothing. Now that I am retired I have the will, time and energy to grasp the opportunity to work as a team member on the Parish Council to help make Quedgeley ‘The’ place to live.
