Councillor Lee Thomas (Severnvale Ward)

Phone: (01452) 881900
I lived in Dursley most of my life, spent a short time in Plymouth and have lived in Quedgeley now for three years. I attended Redknock School Dursley between 1986 and 1992 and am married with three children, two boys 1 year and 3 years and a teenage daughter of 14 years.
Having worked in different industries e.g. repairing roads, erecting traffic signs etc. over the last ten years I have travelled throughout much of England. At present I am working as a self employed meter reader that I have done for the past two years running my own small business.
I have joined the Parish Council to become involved in helping to solve local issues such as the provision of more amenities for Quedgeley as in the past few years Kingsway has doubled in size without the need for services being properly addressed e.g. another doctors surgery and issues of speed on the Kingsway junction to the A38. ” We need to make that junction safer and get the speed limit lowered before there is a fatality.” We also need to target antisocial behaviour in our community. I want to ensure local residents enjoy our area and want to help in solving local issues to the best of my ability and most importantly to listen to local views and to achieve new goals together.
I am a young councillor, energetic and enthusiastic and will be pro active in achieving what the public needs and also to help in meeting the needs of the younger generation so that issues all round are addressed for everyone…and bringing our communities together. I cannot promise to solve everything but I will work hard to achieve what can be done.
