Councillor Nick Lee (Fieldcourt Ward)

Phone: (01452) 721531
I was born in Mountain Ash, Mid Glamorgan, christened at St. James’s, Tredworth, grew up mostly in the Middle East (with brief periods in Cyprus, Hong Kong and Wales by way of variety). After living in Matson until 1997 I then moved to Quedgeley. I am currently Volunteer Librarian at the Gloucester Law Centre and have been since 1993, and work part-time at Oxfam’s Gloucester shop.
As a member of the Parish Council, I am on the Community Centre, Recreation & Amenities and Planning Committees as well as the Sports Centre Management Group & Chairman of the Sports Centre Committee. I represent the Parish Council on the St. James’ Church Parochial Church Council (since 2006), Equals Youth Club (since 2003) and the Gloucester Partnership’s Priority Action Group (since 2004). Like our other parish councillors I am very concerned about the limited recreational amenities in Quedgeley in general and specifically want to help create a really good Sports Centre for use by all ages, disabled and able-bodied alike, as well as increasing the lamentably small amount of public open space currently available in a sadly over-developed area.
My other interests are the Gloucester Law Centre, where I was a Trustee from 2001 to 2007, and St. James’s Church, where I have served on the Parochial Church Council since 1999. I am also a bibliomaniac and my sporting hobbies are English & Welsh rugby, Leeds United & Liverpool.
