EASTER EGG HUNT
On Easter Monday we again held our annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children in the parish. Although it rained almost all day this did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who came along. There were about 150 children who took part, they seemed to have a whale of a time and their excited voices echoed through the Nature Reserve. One of our councillors, Lee Thomas, dressed up as an Easter Bunny but did become a rather bedraggle rabbit by the time he finished.
The Easter Bonnet Competition proved to be a great attraction, the entries were brilliant and the youngsters must have had a whole lot of fun in making them. Well done to all of those who took part!!
On such a wet day we were grateful to have the help of Quedgeley Area Conservation Association that provided a barbecue and the hot burgers proved very welcome. It was also good to see Helen Cordingley, a former parish councillor, who provided a craft stall , Mrs Brady with her greetings cards and Josh Reynolds with his celebration cakes as well as a number of others all of whom ensured the success of the occasion.
