THEFTS FROM CARS

 

There is currently an offender operating near to schools especially in the Barton and Hucclecote areas but he could also move to other parts of the city. He specialises in theft of  handbags or other valuables from cars parked near schools when parents are collecting their children.

It would be appreciated if you could pass on this message to those who may be affected by this  type of crime.

Also if a young white male is seen acting suspiciously and possibly on a bicycle around cars in the vicinity of a school please contact the police immediately.

Quedgeley Parish Council Car Boot Sale

If you have a garage full of bits and bobs or just fancy picking up a bargain then Quedgeley Parish Council Car Boot Sale is the place. The dates for the 2008 Car Boot Sales have now been confirmed. They will be held at Quedgeley Community Centre Car Park on the second Sunday of each month

The Dates are:

8th June, 13th July, 10th August and 14th September 2008.

Sellers admitted from 8.00am and Buyers will be admitted from 9.00am to 1pm,

Toilets and Refreshments are available from Quedgeley Scout & Guide HQ in School Lane

The charge for Cars is £5.00, (Local Community Groups Cars £2.50) and for Vans and Cars with Trailers £7.00.

Please note that we are unable to admit Traders or Food Sellers.

Parish Councillor Bryan Claridge says "There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. This promises to be a great community event"

 

Vandalism at Bristol Road Recreation Ground

On the evening of Friday 23rd May a piece of play equipment was badly damaged at the Bristol Road Recreation Ground and will either need extensive repair or replacement costing quite a lot of money.

Did you see anything that evening? In particular, can you identify the culprits? If so, please contact the local police on 729050 or the parish office on 721552 and we will deal with your call in a confidential manner.

Without your help we cannot stop these things happening!

Quedgeley Parish Council Residents' Association Groups

 

Quedgeley Parish Council is offering anyone who lives in the Parish of Quedgeley an opportunity to become involved in the local community. It wants to help local people set up Residents' Association Groups to discuss issues within their areas, ranging from noise and the environment, to traffic and other matters. This gives everyone the opportunity to raise their concerns and also put across their views on other related matters.

Councillor's Surgery

Have a complaint? Want to know what is going on in Quedgeley? Want to ask questions about what is happening in the area? Your local Parish, City & County Councillors hold a monthly surgery that you are welcome to attend. They take place between 10am and 12 noon in the Committee Room at the Quedgeley Community Centre at the top of School Lane that is opposite the Aldi Store in Bristol Road.

The dates of the surgeries for 2008 are:

16th February           15th March                 12th April                      17th May                  14 June

12thJuly                  16th August               13th September            18th October            15th November

All are welcome and a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits will be provided.
