Aggravated Burglaries and a Scam

Police are concerned regarding a number of aggravated burglaries in the County, in and around Gloucester. Early in the month there were incidents in Little Whitcome and Painswick and last weekend there was a serious incident in Little Walk Longlevens. Before the Little Walk attack a white male had tried to gain access to a house a few hundred yards away in a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in Longford Lane but luckily the lady did not let him in and reported the incident to The Police.

The offender from Longlevens was described as a white male approx’ 5 foot 8 inches tall, in his mid 20’s with black hair wearing dark clothing. If you have any such suspicious visitor at the door please phone The Police immediately using the emergency number and quote incident 414 of 28th January.

Information has been received about a scam involving a bogus email from the DVLA asking for the receiver to verify their licence details. There are many email scams but I thought this worth a mention as it is slightly different, as it does not overtly involve a request for money.
